About Green Island Diving
Who we are and how we try to serve you
When Eddie and Jimmy designed the packages to Green Island they
always tried to keep in mind the language barrier and the difficulty
of getting there from elsewhere in Taiwan.
Over the last 4 years they have refined our transportation logistics
and now also offer a train ticket booking service ( train tickets
are very hard to come by for the guests departing from Taipei and
certain other areas in Taiwan). It is however necessary to book
well in advance between April and October. "We cannot always
guarantee the best views ,but we do make sure that the rooms that
we find for our guests are in good hotels have airconditioning (very
important!) , cable TV and own bathrooms.". In addition our
packages include scooter ( 1 for 2 guests) and hot spring tickets.Many
prospective guests ask us if they cannot do it on their own- sure
they can, but because we get preferential rates it is hard to beat
- taking in consideration that we do all the footwork i t o train
tickets etc for you.No standing in line at ferry counters , no worries
about which ferry to take where and when.All we need is your arrival
and departrure times. In case of an emergency we can also assist
in getting you to medical help immediately.
The diving operators we use are local divers and guides that can
ensure you get the most out of your diving whatever the wind and
other weather conditions may be. From July they will also offer
boat dives on a brand new boat designed and built in Taiwan for
the local conditions.
Big groups are no problem and we go out of our way to assist people
with finding nice restaurants on the island ( the BBQ buffet - eat
as much as you like for NT 250 is always a winner).Breakfast shops
are everywhere and in peak season a western style coffee shop and
restaurant opens that also offer western style breakfasts for about
NT 130.In addition for all our South African guests ( and all else
who tasted and loves this delicacy) we offer BOEREWORS!Please arrange
in advance with Eddie.

We also have golf cars for rent , for those who would prefer not

Well first of all, i want to thank you for the perfect organisation
of the Green Island Trip. It was really perfect!
The people were indeed very cool, so I had kind of a feeling being
on a little paradise...

"Dear Eddie: This is a letter I have been thinking about writing
since I got home from Green Island but it is a difficult one, because
I am so embarrassed about what happened on the scooter with Jimmy!
I'm sure he told you and there are no words to express my profound
humiliaton and sorrow that I caused injury to him. I had it in mind
that it was easy and my son and i would get a short lesson and be
off! I don't know what happened except that i accelerated on a turn
and that put us into the curb and down on the sidewalk. I really
blew it and I apologize to you too. I know it was a special favor
for him to give us a lesson and when I saw the big welt coming up
on his leg, well, you can imagine.
The diving was wonderful -- the guys who took care of us were exceptionally
kind and willing to look after us in and out of the water. I will
continue to promote Green Island Adventures and come back some day
and do it right! (I'll take some scooter lessons first!)"
